Coast Medical Training requires 100% attendance for all courses to meet certification standards and ensure student competency.

Punctuality

  • Students must arrive on time for each session.
  • If a student anticipates being late due to an unavoidable delay (e.g., transit disruption, emergency), they must notify the instructor before the scheduled start time.

Absence or Missed Time

  • Any missed time may make the student ineligible for course completion or certification, as required by licensing and accrediting bodies.
  • In some cases, students may have the option to make up missed content by working privately with an instructor at their own time and expense. This is not guaranteed and is based on the specific content missed, and instructor availability.
  • If a student is unable to complete the course because of missed time, no refunds will be issued. Standard refund/transfer policies do not apply once the course has begun.

Safe Spaces Policy

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. All students are expected to:

    • Treat instructors and peers with respect
    • Participate actively and safely in course activities
    • Follow all safety instructions and use equipment responsibly
    • Refrain from disruptive, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour
    • Adhere to any class charters or agreements developed at the beginning of your course
    • Violation of this policy may result in removal from the course without refund.

Safety & Risk Policy

Our courses often involve hands-on activities in real-world or outdoor settings. Safety is our top priority.

    • All students must follow instructor directions and safety rules at all times
    • Students must disclose any medical conditions that could affect participation
    • Participation is at your own risk; we are not responsible for injuries resulting from unsafe or non-compliant behaviour
    • Students should refuse to participate in any activities they feel are unsafe for them
